Electrocardiography

After completing this chapter, participants will be able to: 

1. Understand the different manifestations of sinus node dysfunction on the electrocardiogram, in particular of second-degree sino-atrial block.  
2. Recognize the electrocardiographic manifestations of atrio-ventricular, bundle-branch and fascicular blocks . 
3. Estimate the location of and accessory pathway based on analysis of the electrocardiogram. 
4. Learn a step-wise approach for the differential diagnosis of narrow complex and broad complex tachycardia’s. 
5.  Localize the site of origin of ventricular arrhythmias based on the analysis of the electrocardiogram. 
6. Recognize the electrocardiographic characteristics of various primary electrical diseases and to identify high risk arrhythmia features.
