After completing this eLearning course, you will be able to:

  • distinguish the anticoagulant therapies options according to clinical presentation and procedural timing;
  • apply current ESC CCS and ACS guideline recommendations to select the most appropriate antithrombotic regimen according to ischaemic and bleeding risk;
  • explain the key components of secondary prevention after PCI.

Prerequisites:

Participants should be familiar with:

  • pathophysiology of ACS;
  • indications for PCI and procedural management of STEMI and NSTEMI;
  • clinical pharmacology of antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents;
  • cardiovascular risk stratification in the post-ACS setting;
  • ESC guideline grading system (Class of recommendation / Level of evidence).
